female speaker leading meeting

Northern Suburbs - Rostrum WA

Welcome to the Northern Suburbs Speaking Club.

Club 2230 Northern Suburbs Speaking Club meets once a week – Mondays at 6:30pm. Our meetings go for an hour and follow a set agenda with members giving speeches and presentations on a range of topics. Northern Suburbs Rostrum Club can teach you to speak in public in easy comfortable steps.

We use a successful program developed by the Rostrum Clubs of WA which takes you through 13 structured steps to train you in the art of public speaking.

You can view the first two pages of “Activity 1: About Me” on this page. Each of the 13 Activities has:

  • An objective
  • The Why
  • Where do I start
  • The How
  • Tips and traps

At every meeting a trained coach evaluates each presenter and highlights ways to improve the speeches and also where the speaker has excelled. This is always presented in a supportive way to assist all at the meeting to learn and improve their speaking skills. You can always obtain further tips from the Coach after the meeting.

You will be amongst people who have travelled or are travelling the same journey as you.

Come along to one of our meetings. You are not under any obligation except to see how the Rostrum system will improve your ability to communicate.

You certainly won’t be asked to make a speech until you join our Club and then we will ease you into the program and nurture you all the way.
