Rostrum Clubs of WA
Rostrum Clubs of Western Australia is an organisation made up of a series of public speaking clubs which help you develop the skills and courage you need to speak confidently in any daunting situation you find yourself facing – a presentation, meeting, interview, date, webinar or wedding.
Our regular meetings give you the opportunity to practise and improve your speaking skills. Accredited coaches give you constructive feedback and teach you how to stand up, be yourself and hold a crowd.

What is Rostrum?
Rostrum is all about you! Our clubs have experienced Rostrum coaches and mentors who will work with you to achieve your speaking goals.
Rostrum members are adults of all ages and from all walks of life including students, professionals, home-makers, retirees, job seekers, and people learning English. There is so much to gain from Rostrum meetings. You can:
- Regularly practise your speaking skills at your local club and boost your confidence
- Develop a variety of communications skills through reading aloud, prepared speeches, storytelling, debating, and other speaking techniques
- Gain practical skills and confidence for your next job interview, work presentation or speech at a special occasion

How does Rostrum work?
Rostrum Public Speaking Clubs aim to help their members improve their speaking and meeting skills. Visitors and guests are welcome to come along to any of the Rostrum Clubs listed in the Clubs Page.
Rostrum public speaking clubs meet once a week (mostly) and on different days and times depending on the selected club. The meetings go for an hour and follow a set agenda with members giving speeches and presentations on a range of topics. Public speaking courses are held in Perth and the surrounding areas.
Each Rostrum WA public speaking club is made up of a wide variety of members with different levels of experience including experienced public speakers, newer members and accredited coaches.
Rostrum WA public speaking clubs provide a safe, interesting and supportive environment in which members can develop their confidence and public speaking skills. We hold an ever varying and wide variety of exercises to maintain the interest of members and to challenge the more experienced members.
