Speak Up Speak Out Training

SUSO is a three hour short course designed to give new and prospective members an introduction to Rostrum and to cover the basics of speech preparation and presentation in a friendly and supportive environment involving –

• a very short discussion about Rostrum, the clubs, and its Executive (known as DAIS);
• discussion about speech preparation, timing, research, brain mapping etc;
• discussion about presentation: use of voice, gestures, stance, control of nerves etc; and
• culminating in some practice speaking

This is a fantastic way for everyone participating in the meeting to gain valuable feedback about how they can improve their public speaking and communication skills.

Rostrum WA is the only public speaking organisation which provides qualified public speaking coaches completely free to all members.
